Conte sends his assistant to scout two Inter stars ahead of spending spree

As Antonio Conte seems busy ahead of his summer move to Chelsea, the current Azzurri manager had sent his assistant to scout a league clash between Inter Milan and Genoa last night, Daily Star reports.

Inter suffered a meaningful 1-0 defeat at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, leaving the team without Champions League football next season.

However, other’s misfortune is another’s fortune, as failure to qualify will make Conte even more keen of luring the Inter duo Ivan Perisic and Jeison Murrillo to Stamford Bridge on the summer transfer window.

Antonio Conte is keen to bring both Inter Milan stars Jeison Murillo (left) and Ivan Perisic to Chelsea this summer.

According to reports in Italy, Conte’s assistant scouted the two international players and Genoa’s Leonardo Pavotti, who could be granted a place in the Euro 2016.

Perisic, a versatile winger, has been tipped to leave San Siro this summer despite only joining the club last summer and signing a five-year deal with the club.

The Croatian’s agent Tonci Martic didn’t rule out a move to West London after Chelsea’s interest on the 27-year-old became public.

To be linked with a club like Chelsea and a manager like Antonio Conte is very exciting for Perisic.

The Premier League is the best league in the world and Chelsea is a massive club so we would happily talk about it.

Murillo, 23, is also wanted by Manchester United and could pay around £14 million for the Blues, with Perisic rumoured to be worth something above €16 million as Inter want profit from the experienced forward.
