Chelsea to submit huge bid for unsettled Bundesliga star

Chelsea made a huge £46 million (€60m) bid for Henrikh Mkhitaryan last summer, and are ready to retry signing the Borussia Dortmund ace, Daily Star reports.

The Armenia international has been playing a phenomenal season, scoring 23 goals and creating 30 in 49 appearances.

The incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to stun Arsenal, who are also monitoring the Dortmund midfielder, and offer a lucrative deal for him.

Mkhkitaryan recently gave his probable summer transfer a huge boost by rejecting a £6.4m-a-year contract extension with the Bundesliga side, as he’s closing to his final 12 months of his current deal with the club.

When the German newspaper Bild asked whether he’s going to pen a new a deal with the club, he answered “I don’t know.”

Afterwards he was also asked about a possible move to Chelsea, to what he answered the same, saying: “I don’t know.”
