Chelsea targeting Sergio Ramos following Ivanovic exit talks

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to bring Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos to Stamford Bridge with him, as Branislav Ivanovic is monitored by AS Roma, Goal.com reports.

The 30-year-old has spent his last 11 years at Santiago Bernabeu, but is reportedly one of the many players to be sold this summer by the Spanish giants.

Chelsea held talks with Roma last week and discussed the possible transfer of Ivanovic, with Conte reportedly keen to let the Serbian go and replace the 32-year-old with Ramos.

Branislav Ivanovic has been captaining the Chelsea side this season while John Terry has been out injured.

According to Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, Conte has made the Spain international his main target for the summer, as he looks to strengthen the defensive line with a versatile defender for the next campaign.

Sergio Ramos has also been recently linked with a move to a rival club Manchester United.
