Zouma out with anterior cruciate ligament injury

Kurt Zouma has sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament and will require surgery within the next 48 hours.

Chelsea have confirmed it is likely Zouma will be out of for 6 months meaning he will miss the rest of the season and also the Euros in his own country – France.

Zouma picked up the injury after jumping to clear the ball in yesterday’s draw with Man United. The Frenchman landed awkwardly and appeared to be in extreme pain.

He was then strechered off the field and Hiddink said he will have a scan to see the full damage of the injury which has unfortunately proved to be a very serious one.

Get well soon Kurt Zouma!
