Chelsea fans sprayed with tear gas during PSG game

The Daily Mail is reporting that some Chelsea fans were sprayed with tearing gas by the French police during yesterday’s Champions League game against PSG after John Obi Mikel scored the equaliser.

The special officers from the French anti-riot CRS units also sprayed the away Chelsea’s fans at the Parc des Princes after Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat against PSG. This will be the second time Chelsea fans were sprayed by the French’s side after last year’s game. And while last year’s scenario repeated, there was still head-to-head encounter between fans and the police at the stadium.

Some Chelsea fans at the upper tier were forced to leave their seats during the 1st half even before Mikel’s equalizer after they were “accidently” sprayed according to officials.

Chelsea will host PSG for the 2nd leg of the Champions league on Wednesday, March 9th at Stamford Bridge .
