He was selected alongside Branislav Ivanovic and Eden Hazard after the Blues won the Premier League title last season.
Although the trio performed admirably well last season earning places in the Premier League team of the 2014/2015 season, they have been underpar this season and have been hugely criticized for Chelsea’s slump in the domestic competition.
The shortlist, made up of five goalkeepers, 20 defenders, 15 midfielders and 15 forwards, were voted for by almost 25,000 professional footballers from 70 countries.
The Fifa Fifpro World XI will be announced on January 11, 2016, at the Ballon D’Or ceremony in Zurich.
