Jose reveals Terry doubtful for Spurs clash

Jose Mourinho has blamed the ‘bad’ condition of the pitch leading to John Terry’s injury in Chelsea’s Champions League victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

The Chelsea captain was forced off while the game stood at 1-0 after incurring what looked like an ankle injury in the second half.

Mournho made changes to his starting eleven as Gary Cahill came in for Kurt Zouma, Cezar Azpilicueta was moved to righ back, Baba Rahman coming in for Kenedy at left back and Oscar also replacing Pedro.

However, Ramires has to left out late ahead of the game because of an injury incurred in training. The Portuguese manager believes the first injury rules the 34-year old from the game against Tottenham Hotspurs next weekend.

The surface was bad and dangerous, John has an ankle problem that we don’t know yet the dimension of. For John to leave the pitch with the result 1-0 I know already that he is in trouble. My medical department is really good. John is a special guy, with a special desire to recover. But I think to leave the pitch with the result 1-0, I don’t believe too much that he can play (against Spurs).
