Jose: I will not resign, they will have to sack me

After another horrid display from his team, Jose has come out on the defensive and told us that he will have to be sacked as he will not resign.

Chelsea lost 3-1 against Southampton after a pretty timid display from the champions which leaves us in 16th with 8 points from 8 games. Things seem to be going from bad to worse and the players just don’t look up for it at all.

Jose came out and gave a 7 minute interview straight after the defeat with his main point being that he will not run away from what he has called the biggest challenge of his career.

No way I resign. No way. Why? Because Chelsea cannot have a better manager than me. No chance I run away. Why? 1 – because I have my professional pride. 2 – because I like this club very much. When we were champions last season I said I will stay until the owner & board want me to leave. No chance I resign. That is completely clear.

I assume my responsibilities. I think players should assume their responsibilities, so should some other people at the club. We need to stick together. This is what I want.
