Piazon joins Reading on loan

Chelsea player Lucas Piazon has taken to Twitter to confirm that he would spend the rest of the season on loan at Reading.

The Brazilian attacker is a real catch for the Championship side and was at the Madejski stadium today. The move will be confirmed after the final touches are

completed.

Piazon was spotted at Sao Paulo and was in headlines when he signed a pre-contract agreement with Chelsea in 2011. He became a Blue and moved to the

Stamford Bridge a year later.

He spent most of his career on loan spells away from the club. In 2012, he joined Spanish club Malaga on loan. After playing just 11 games for Malaga he moved to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem for the season in 2013. Piazon had a good time at the Dutch club notching up 11 goals in 29 appearances.

The 21-year old spent the last season in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt and scored twice.

The Brazilian is highly rated and has already represented his country at the Under-15 and Under-17 levels. But, he hasn’t yet reached the level to be a regular at the Stamford Bridge.

The loan deal at Reading should do him a lot of good as he gets accustomed to the rigours of English football. Hope he comes out of it as a better player.
