According to Sport.es, Pedro looks set to switch Barcelona for Chelsea.
The €30million winger has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp much like Cesc Fabregas last season. With the additions of Suárez and Turan, the Spanish international will likely head for the exits and be on his way to Chelsea.
The player is said to have spoken to both Jose Mourinho and Cesc Fabregas about a switch and he is concerned that not speaking English could be a problem. Fabregas assured him it wouldn’t as other first team players like Diego Costa and Samuel Eto’o also did not speak English and did fine anyways.
Chelsea are said to be ready to activate the €30million release clause in his contract and grab the player.
If he can contribute anywhere near the same level as Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas did last season, this will be a priceless purchase for the club. That said, it could send Juan Cuadrado out of the club.
Apparently, Pedro rejected offers from PSG, Arsenal, and Liverpool to hold out on a Chelsea deal, one the player wants.
This would likely end interest in Atletico Madrid, forward, Antoine Griezmann as well. Hopefully this deal sparks up the transfer window and sees us seal many important transfers to improve for the next season.
