Norwich target Chelsea striker

Newly promoted Norwich City have started talks with Chelsea over a potential loan deal for Patrick Bamford, according to The Daily Mail.

The striker has been targeted by the Canaries as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of their return to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old scored 17 times on loan at Middlesbrough last season, including one against Noriwch.

And the Canaries are reportedly ready to battle with Newcastle to secure the strikers services for next season; with Chelsea keen for the youngster to gain some experience in the top flight.

Norwich are also targeting Hull City’s Robbie Brady, with manager Alex Neil promising he’s doing everything he can to bring new players in.

“We’re trying our best, you know we’re doing everything we can, and obviously a lot of it isn’t in our hands which is the problem,” Neil told BBC Radio Norfolk.

“We just need to bide our time and continue to work hard and hopefully we can get a few across the line soon.”
