Lampard rules out Premier League return

Chelsea’s top-goalscorer and legend has ruled out a return to the Premier League and Europe overall by stating:

I might train somewhere to stay fit (after the MLS season). But I won’t play anywhere. I’ve had my time in the Premier League and Europe and it’s not going to happen now – Frank Lampard – Daily Mail

He could still return to the PL, but not to play. Since NYCFC and MCFC both are part of the same conglomerate the ex-England Vice-Captain could return to train in order to stay fit during the MLS off-season. He could also return to train under former manager, Jose Mourinho.

It’s almost impossible to hate Lampard, although he did kind of betray Chelsea by leaving them and joining MCFC on loan, the English midfielder claims that he felt he had to since it was a direct order that “came from the top”. Anyhow, Chelsea still managed to win the league comfortably and Lampard is now getting settled at his new club, New York City FC, and is set to make his debut against Toronto on Sunday.
