Spurs monitoring Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah

Tottenham are considering a summer move for Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah, according to the Transfer Market Web.

The Blues winger has attracted interest from a number of European clubs, including Spurs, following a successful loan spell at Fiorentina, after joining the Serie A side in January last season.

And the North Londoners are preparing to make a formal bid for Salah, with the intention of taking the Egyptian on a permanent deal.

However, Chelsea have thus far been reluctant to sell to Premier League rivals this transfer window, as Arsenal are finding out as they chase the signature of Petr Cech, and the Blues would prefer Salah to remain in Italy.

The winger joined Chelsea from Swiss side Basel for a fee of £11m in 2014, but has since struggled to make much of an impact at Stamford Bridge.

Whilst Salah has aspirations of moving back to Chelsea to prove himself, the Egypt international doesn’t appear to have a future with the Blues.

Juan Cuadrado, who was part of the deal which saw Salah join Fiorentina and the Colombian leave for London, looks set to now stay at the club; whilst Antoine Griezmann is still being linked with a move to the Bridge.
