Price tag placed on Chelsea Striker

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea have officially placed a price tag of 15 million sterling pounds on backup striker Loic Remy. If Chelsea do manage to sign Falcao, and it is becoming increasingly likely that they will, then Remy might reconsider his future at Chelsea in order to get more playtime.

Remy, a 28 year-old French striker, managed to net seven goals in his six appearances as a starter for the Blues in the Premier League this past season and will be hoping to get a few more starts next year, if not at Chelsea then somewhere else.

It is rumoured that Alan Pardew is interested in a possible reunion with the Frenchman at Crystal Palace since they had a moderately successful time together at Newcastle in which the Tyneside team finished 10th with Remy as the leading goalscorer with 14 goals, a pretty good number considering the lack of creativity of said team and his injuries with them.

It will be sad to see Remy go considering that he is not only an excellent forward, but he can also play as a winger on either side. Such a versatile and impactful player should have a heftier price tag, maybe if he was English.
