London pair to battle for Spaniard’s signature

Paper talk today reports that Chelsea and Arsenal are both interested in securing the services of Barcelona’s Pedro Rodriguez.

Mourinho is said to be interested in the Spanish winger, despite spending big on Juan Cuadrado in January.

The Metro say the winger is priced at around £22m, and report that Pedro could kick start Jose’s summer spending spree, with a new striker likely to be the priority, based on this season’s injuries.

Other reports suggest Arsenal are also interested in the winger, who is said to be frustrated at his lack of playing time in Catalonia following the arrival of Luis Suarez, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

Pedro has been a frequent figure in much of Barcelona’s recent history, but perhaps now is the time for the 27-year-old to move on, following an 11 year spell at the Spanish giants.
